Sunflower II
Jun. 5th, 2020 09:30 pmSecond attempt at painting sunflowers with watercolors.
Inspiration:

Start:

I had a hard time finding the right tone for the orange in the center, but I got it!

I learned a lot about color perception and ended up using PowerPoint to help decipher colors. That and internet tutorials were helpful to figure out how to shade the petals.

Now with a background! I'm much happier with this technique compared to the other one I did.

So that was fun :). Now I need to think of something else to paint.

Date: 2020-06-06 06:20 pm (UTC)You might like the pencils more than the crayons because they are cleaner. Those crayons flake And I have spots of colors on my socks.
I’m done with my H.S. and the boys will be done next week. Soooo done.

If you have any suggestions/inspiration for still life stuff (even anthropomorphic things), I’d be interested. Brainstorming is helpful. :)
