Radish illustrated

One of the scenes from Radish. Watson is encouraging Holmes to eat a radish.

In progress:
I forgot to get an earlier one.

Finished:

This was another learning experience and lots of things to figure out. There are a lot of things I’m happy about like how it came together. I can’t show a reference photo because it’s a conglomeration of many photos. My ever so patient husband played model so I could get the poses right. He caught a giggling fit when he realized that in the drawing he’s having a conversation with himself. Maybe he can get himself to like radishes...

Expression are hard. I’ll be trying out a exercise to make them clearer. I’m fairly sure that there’s some anachronisms in there - let’s not look too close for that. Also! Clothes!!!! It’s so much easier not to dress them.. Who needs clothes! They did because this is a G rated drawing; I got to scour through tumblr to find pics of the right type of clothes and shoes to dress them in.

I’m looking for other things to sketch. I’ll throw this out there: if you are interested in having a drawing done of one of your fics, then let me know. I make no promises for BBC and me not making Cumberbatch look like an alien.

That's great - what a lovely idea to illustrate Radish. And so many different radishes to choose from. I also like the background with the range.

I love that you've had a go at doing fanart for one of your fics ^____^

I love the setting - it feels like a real home. And I particularly like Watson's face and expression. Also - and I know this is oddly specific - I really like the tabletop. It's beautifully done and the table acts as such a good focal point for the picture.

And well done to your husband for acting as model ^___^ It must be so handy having your very own Holmes & Watson at home :P
